Dans les photographies de Cédrick Eymenier, j’apprécie le contraste entre les couleurs et la luminosité. Il les imprime lui-même avec soin sur un papier mat et sensuel, qui leur confère un aspect intime, raffiné. La précision du cadrage, la simplicité des sujets choisis apportent une dimension originale.
Les vidéos Haïkus résument bien son attitude, dire un maximum avec un minimum. L’oiseau intitulé Reflexion Bird, surpris par la réflexion de son image dans le miroir d’un rétroviseur, sautille en essayant de découvrir la source de cette illusion.
L’éclat des couleurs, le satiné du rendu et l’accompagnement subtil de la musique soulignent, la qualité insolite d’une recherche poétique.

In Cédrick Eymenier’s photographs, I like the contrast between the colors and their radiance. He prints them himself with care on soft matte paper which gives them an intimate and refined appearance. The accuracy of the framing and the simplicity of the subjects he’s chosen creates an uncommon dimension.
The Haïkus videos perfectly sum up his attitude; they say as much as possible with as little as possible. The bird, titled Reflexion Bird, shows surprise at seeing its image reflected in the glass of the rear-view mirror. The bird hops around trying to discover the source of this illusion.
The brilliance of the colors, the satin finish, and the subtle music that accompanies the videos highlight the unusual quality of his poetic quest.
